Painting between showers

Following on from yesterday's tale of "Vice Versa" which sailed better backwards, here's another: while I am painting Victoria in the boat yard Pat comes by and we get chatting. He can remember a double-ender that was kept here years ago that underwent similar treatment. They chopped the bow off, built her a transom in its place and then gave her the most appropriate name they could think of: "Ann Boleyn". Great story, thanks Pat!

We don't give Victoria a complete paint job every year and she's still looking pretty spruce after last year's work so I've just patched up a few dinks on the toe rail and here she is getting a gloss topcoat on that.

Painting where the sun don't shine! The groove where the rudder will sit doesn't often see the light of day

No surer way to invite comments about the paint you are using than to have it in an unmarked paint kettle (or in my case an Asda broccholi soup container). Teamac marine paint I tell them, and very pleased I am with it too. The undercoat did a particularly impressive job and the gloss is looking good.

See that gleam on the rail! Teamac Marine Gloss. (Note to self: get a haircut before taking any more selfies)
